As a contribution to the technical-scientific production management of the Colombian Maritime Authority and taking account earlier initiatives developed in the institution and in the region, was planned to define the requirements for the implementation of the Digital Library for open access to historical and scientific documentation mainly produced by Centro de Investigaciones Oceanográficas e Hidrográficas del Pacífico and Centro de Investigaciones Oceanográficas e Hidrográficas del Caribe, to get the conceptual model that allows the documentation management available mostly in paper in Tumaco and Cartagena, respectively. As a result of this study were defined development policies, access, exchange and conservation for the Digital Library of the Dirección General Marítima, likewise, we implemented a pilot digital repository based on a open access Content Management System, standards and services of international library systems, and protocols that allow interoperability with Colombian Digital Library.Downloads
