The methodology for the design and construction of an oceanographic and hydrographic shallow waters survey vessel, through a coordinated and complementary work between there search groups of the Oceanographic and Hydrographic Research Center CIOH and COTECMAR is presented here. The results achieved for different important aspects for the vessel operation, with which, a multi purpose capability for survey was accomplished, including the installation of the Atlas Fans weep 20/200 multibeam echosounder are described. Some of the advantages of having a specialized vessel for shallow waters survey for the oceanographic and hydrographic investigation are discussed.Downloads
