Sea-surface temperature determined with NOAA satellites is treated by means of the application of an auto-regressive model. The auto-regressive model should be employed for improving assimilation performance whenever the satellite sea-surface field, because of water vapour and cloudiness effects, presents a temporal variability with a random component whose noise has not been filtered in the signal.Downloads
